I'm taking the next month to continue to study action research... the methodologies, the outlets, the networks and the communities of practice. I'm also going to spend time focusing on my responses in the previous blog post. It really got me thinking last night.
Who am I???
I was talking to some students today and commented that I take credentialing exams for fun... PhD, MEd, BS, CRTT, RRT, RRT-ACCS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, CHSE, CHSOS, EMT, SSGB, SSBB, iACLS, iPALS, iBCLS, iATLS ... I don't know what is next but I'm sure there is one.
What do these exams do for me? Do the credentials define me?
I am a clinician - CRTT, RRT, RRT-ACCS, EMT, ACLS, PALS, ATLS
I am a simulationist - CHSE, CHSOS
I am a researcher - PhD, SSBB, SSGB
I am an instructor - iACLS, iPALS, iBCLS, iATLS
I am an administrator - nada... wonder if this is next
I am a technologist - MEd
But what do I find the most joy in doing... I like to help people overcome their limitations. I like for them to see their potential and consider alternative paths to achieve their dreams.
What does that make me??? or say about me???
I'm an encourager, a connector, a relationship builder... but there is no credential for that. This does not connect. It does not process in my way of looking at things.
